FOX is the lone wanderer of the wilderness and the subject of numerous tales. It is a heroic animal that solves even the biggest of problems with its cunningness. This is the reason why the fox is a symbol of intelligence and slyness. According to old Finnish beliefs, the Northern Lights are created by a so-called firefox. It runs across the fell highlands brushing the snowdrifts with its bushy tail, making sparks that create the Northern Lights.
